To serve and give a helping hand to talented and needy youth and children in kawempe division, through support, training, guidance and education based on relevance for GOD, voluntary work and new experiences. Poverty-stricken teens and young adults are filled with so much talent and energy; their dreams just waiting to be the great ideas of tomorrow.All they need is a chance. And the HOPE Fund is that chance, nurturing human capital and turning it into human potential…before it is lost to poverty.

IMPACT:

Every product donation placed in the hands of the children and youth served through our programs is cherished, and each brings hope for a brighter future. These children and youth come from families often struggling to survive on meager earnings -- averaging less than $50 a month. Parents can barely afford food and shelter, let alone new clothes, shoes or school supplies for their children. So, you can begin to see what a difference these product donations can make in their lives. Just making it possible for the children to attend school and get a decent education can make a significant impact! Our ability to meet the youth and children's health care needs is also crucial. The clothes, food,health care services and scholastic supplies we distribute to our agency local partners and support families help improve the health of the children and youth we serve. Preventive healthcare and other services offered, gives them the opportunity to develop into contributing members of society.

Women's Income-generating Activities

HIV positive girls and women have initiated a project to make and sell natural fruit juices in Mulago slum area. Community women are assisted with 2fridges and 4jericans, 3backets and skills to produce juice for sale.

We need your support to help more young men and women in the struggle to eradicate poverty in their homes.

$100 can rent a commercial room for 2-3month
$230 can help 2 HIV positive young men set-up each 1public payphone and earn a living
$500 can buy a second-hand fridge and support a family of 4people by selling cold drinks
$1000 can help 3 young men to set-up each a small hair cut SLOON and be able to support their families

What Is Sponsorship?

CYCSO sponsorship is a one-to-one relationship based on mutual respect and recognition of every person's dignity.
Through sponsorship you can give your new friend hope by helping with life-enhancing benefits such as food, clothing, medical care, and for children, the opportunity to go to school. Through a sponsorship commitment of $30 monthly, you can choose to help a young girl or boy, a teenager, an elderly man or woman or a person with special needs. For a $50 monthly commitment, you can choose to support a vocation candidate as he or she studies for religious life. Payment options include payment by check, automatic bank withdrawal. To sponsor a vocation candidate. As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to witness your sponsored friend achieve his or her fullest potential. You will come to know your child or aging friend through a relationship built on personal letters, photos and prayer. With your initial contribution, you are taking the first steps in giving a child or aging person a better life through your gift of sponsorship.

Drama, Poems, and Songs

Young People both boys and girls reach out to their peers and the community through drama, poems, and songs during public gatherings, social places, churches, organized youth meetings, and workshops. This strategy has seen young people taught and informed on various issues of common interest to them . Relationships are also formed to encourage good reproductive health.
